Switch vivelle dot to Climara Pro and waiting

Hi ((also taking amoxycillin for bad cold and have headache and bleeding and side pain and cant' sleep).
Cattitude here............ is Dec 3 and am waiting on Doc to review old pathology slides from my year ago surgery.......... I had what they call BSO and now my Second Opinion New Doc found out not so........... I have a left ovary and what appears to be either 3 masses of endo, cysts or tumors......... so I am waiting for Doc to call me........... Here is my other deal - 2 days now since I heard I have ovary and 3 unknown masses - from Stress I have Headache, bad side pains in left side now and am Bleeding 9 days now....... I started the Climara Pro Patch on Wednesday Nov 30. So perhaps the patch change from Vivelle to Climara..... would cause the period to continue. ?? I guess I will give Doc call soon as morning get here........ cant sleep with all this anxiety not knowing what is going on. She said if they are tumors she will have a Specialist Endocrinologist do the surgery. She said this is main cause of my migraines...........since they treated me as if I had no ovaries.......but now I have 3 aliens too that I don't know what are. I am thankful to God for leading me to New Doc otherwise I would go on thinking I have no ovaries and who knows what else with masses unknown? ** I am just stressed and cant' sleep 2am. Also.........trying to keep smile at work very hard........ work with men engineers - one had no compassion yesterday (I guess I looked down) and he made point of finding out my situation and then told me, "Why don't you go buy the book called "Don't Sweat The SMALL STUFF" . I can't believe how insensitve people can be. oh well. cat

(((Cat))) I'm sorry others are being so insensitive to how you're feeling. We all know too well that the symptoms are very real, and not "small stuff" at all.

Since we are a hysterectomy support board, we're not too familiar with the effects of HRT on those who still have a uterus, as far as starting and stopping periods. You might find better support on this issue at www.dearest.com .

In general, though, switching HRT's can cause fluctuations that can result in symptoms. I'd guess that's what's happened with you but urge you to seek help from your DR for this.

I hope you find some answers soon.
s,
-Linda

Thanks Surferbabe for reply.
I appreaciate it. I am hoping soon to hear from my New Doctor & this Endocrinologist as to what is what and where I am headed now. I drink the barium contrast stuff Sunday night for a CT Scan of Pelvis&abdominal cavity on Monday afternoon. They want to get clear idea of it before we talk about what we have to do since now I found I have not only left ovary but those 3 masses. Doctor mentioned we will be discussing the route of a full hysterectomy & more than likely the uterus would come out also if masses are tumors or if they suspect it cuz the one found in me June2003 was benign but I guess they can change. So in way I not look forward to another 6 WEEKS of that surgical recovery but if I have to at least I am far better prepared than last time - I sorta know what to expect and have Wiser KINDER DOCTOR who has already told me a Specialist will do surgery, Wonderful Hubby who feels bad but says well we are TEAM & will will make it thru together & I HAVE ALL YOU HYSTERSISTERS This Website is a Blessing! *I am sad though that I was just getting into exercising again and even just cleaning my house was a real chore up until last summer 2004 which June2003 makes a year from last laporatomy. I am praying these masses are just endometrisos and can be treated with drugs. Thank you for your support and that link Surferbabe. I will update within this coming week after my CT Scan to let you know if surgery is in my near future. Cat.
