compounded testosterone

I am going to ask my physician to prescribe compounded testosterone for my low libido. I am 99 % sure he is unaware of what this is as he did not even bring it up when I saw him for my low libido a couple weeks ago. When I go back, I would like to have all my ducks in line as far as what I would like him to order for me. Can anyone give me starter information as to what to ask him for and where would I go about finding a compounding pharmacist?
Thanks
Lisa

compounded testosterone

Hi Lisa

You can use the locator found on this website: to find a compounding pharmacy near you. If there isn't one close to you, find one that will do mail orders. There are two that advertise on this site at the bottom of this page.

If your doctor doesn't know how to write a prescription for compounded hormones, the compounding pharmacist should be able to help. That's how my doctor/pharmacist relationship works!

I think it's pretty typical to use the 1% cream. Initially it is prescribed to use daily. If you start experiencing symptoms of too much testosterone, you can back off on how much you use and also how often you are using it. Here's the link to the symptoms of too much/too little so you know what to watch for.

Good luck! I hope you are able to get the prescription you want!
