Lupron Depo any side effects?

My DR wants me to have Lupron Depo shots for 5 months to stop endo from returning. Has any one had a good or bad response. If I get stressed or tired I have noticed l get angry and mean. I can still only work part time and If I work one day I am tired the next. I have had 3 episodes of being really angry and just hide out. I am taking activial and after the 5 months of Lupron will see a hormone specialist. I am very lucky because before I was angry and hatefull for 2 weeks of every month and those 3 episodes I felt more control. Carole

I had to take Lupron for a few months and I was B****Y on it! Said some things that I would not regularly say but in a way it was sort of freeing because I am very soft spoken. My neighbor was also on it so we would compare B****Y stories and the trauma we were inflicting on our families! Glad that is over.

If it gets out of hand talk with your DDr because you may need something to curtail those symptoms.

I did (3) months of lupron shots to shrink my fibroids enough for my LSH.

Lupron causes temporary chemical menopause. In my case, I had hot flashes, night sweats and I lost interest in sex. I did not experience any depression or weight gain. My lupron side effects could be a nusiance at times and I knew it was getting me to my surgery.

I think Hyster Sisters on lupron all have a different reaction to it. My side effects wore off right before my LSH. In my case, I am glad I did the shots.

One question you might ask your Dr...my Dr. did not want me on lupron longer then a few months. He told me that lupron can cause bone density loss if used long term.

You might ask you Dr. if you are a candidate for "add back". Counteracts the lupron side effects. I did not do it and I have read about it on H.S. Or maybe you are on HRT now.

When I took Lurpon, I had absolutely no side effects except I felt a whole heck of a lot better. I didn't experience hot flashes, ngiht sweats, or mood swings. I know they are common side effects, but I guess everyone responds differently.

I was on Lupron for 2 months and experienced changes in appetite and energy. I believe it was effective in shrinking the fibroids since I lost 8 lbs. while on the injections and I hadn't drastically changed my exercising regimen. Now that I think about it, I didn't eat as much so that probably contributed to the weight loss.

My Dr. also gave a replacement hormone during that time so that I wouldn't experience the menopausal symptoms. I slept well and still had very minor hot flashes which began earlier this year anyway.
