just some support

I just wanted to stop in here as it was about 2 yrs ago this month I was told at 32 yrs old I needed a hyster and started researching and came across this wonderful site.
I wil be 2 yrs post hyster Feb 4th and my hyster was the best thing I have done for myself and my family. I had Endo and Adeonmyosis and was in such pain and bleeding all the time, sex was unbearable, daily chores were so difficult b.c of my pain level. I was moody, irritable , snippy and hard to be around.
I think the waiting and what if's we think about are worse than the final outcome.
yes it is surgery and there will be a recovery time and it is hard it has its ups and downs in the very beginning, but after the initial healing period you will feel so much better. I had everything removed, I initially wanted to keep my ovaries but after my dr assured me Id be back w.i months to have them removed if I did I let him take them, and GLAD I did.balancing hormones seems to be so much easier now w.o guessing what my ovaries might be or might not be making or if they are working at all, No more cycling, migraines have gotten better no more mood swings, and no more pain and planning events around my bleeding or cancelling them b.c of sudden comings on of periods and unforseen bleeding.
Like I said I will be 2 yrs soon, and after my surgey my husband thanked My dr for giving him his wife back, I definitely say my surgery improved my marriage and my quality of life. If I can answer anyones questions feel free to e-mail me I will be glad to help ease your fears.
Thanks for reading if u got this far and hope this post helps someone.

I'm glad you had such a positive experience.

Mine has been good, too. The main thing that amazes me is that I don't think I ever really had PMS...I thought I did every month, but I think it was just the pain and discomfort of my uterus filling with blood. I kept my ovaries and have no menopause symptoms, but I also have no more monthly mood swings! It's heaven.
