Has anyone tried Estrogen Natural - Esnatri (triple estrogen)?
I am reading "Natural Hormone Replacement" by Jonathan Wright, and he makes a strong argument for triple estrogen, along with progesterone. I found the triple estrogen cream, called Estrogen Natural - has anyone out in Hyster Land tried this yet? Or their progesterone spray?
Thank you!
Ann

Has anyone tried Estrogen Natural - Esnatri (triple estrogen)?
Hi Ann I haven't used Esnatri or compounded tri-est, though we do have some members here who have used tri-est. Tri-est is typically 80% estriol, 10% estradiol and 10% estrone. Esnatri is 90% estriol, 7% estradiol and 3% estrone. IMHO less estrone is better, but the smaller % of estradiol means it'll take more Esnatri than it would tri-est to achieve symptom relief.
If you do decide to use this product, keep in mind that the directions on the label will be geared towards women in perimenopause and natural menopause; needs of women in surgical menopause are typically greater.
I hope this helps!

Has anyone tried Estrogen Natural - Esnatri (triple estrogen)?
Thanks Linda!
I'm going to ask my ND about it when I see her again in a couple of weeks, I was just curious if anyone here had tried it. Now that I'm almost ten weeks post surgery, the hot flashes are starting to gradually subside (sometimes).
But I picked up a book called Natural Hormone Replacement by Dr Jonathan Wright, who makes a strong argument that estriol is a lot more important for menopausal symptoms, which is why the tri-est creams have more estriol. It's a pretty interesting book. He also lists herbs that will help with the symptoms, without using hormones, and my ND has recommended those. Here's what my ND recommends I take:
Vitamin C (buffered) 4500mg per day for 7 days, then 9000 mg per day
Fish oil (omega 3) - 4000 mg per day
Probiotic - 3 caps per day
Black cohosh - 80 mg per day
Evening primose oil - 3000 mg per day
Vitamin E (d'alpha tocophenol) - 800 iu per day
She also recommends skin brushing, contrast showers, NOT wearing an underwire bra, and lots of water. She has started me on a dairy-free "detox" diet for three weeks, and we'll take it from there. I'm still using Estro-All cream, but she may switch me later to something else, after she does a saliva test for hormones.

What is skin brushing exactly? I have heard underwire's aren't good for us either but I don't really know why.

4500 to 9000 mg of Vitamin C per day is a HUGE amount of Vitamin C. I take 1000mg (under DR's supervision); the RDA is about 60mg/day. Here is a link to a great discussion about Vitamin C and the potential for overdose:

I've heard the underwire thing, too... and I've also read that it's an urban legend. Here's a link to the American Cancer Society's response to the underwire question:

Black cohosh is a phytoestrogen which will gradually diminish hot flashes and night sweats over a period of several weeks in some women. Perhaps it is working for you? It's generally taken in lieu of HRT, not in addition to it, so if you decide to start on the tri estrogen product (or any other bio-identical estrogen) I would consider stopping the black cohosh (it competes with the estrogen for receptors).

I will ask my ND for more information about the underwire bra, but she says that it prevents the lymph system in the chest from working as well as it could, because we're squishing the vessels. When she examined me, I was sensitive under the wire on my chest - obviously anything that causes pain is probably not good.
The urban legend refers to underwire bras causing breast cancer, which makes no sense at all. That's not what the ND was talking about.
The thing about Vitamin C is that you have to use buffered C, not ascorbic acid. But thanks for the link, I'll check it out!
