Uses for Left Over Pads, Tampons, etc?

My family is in town for the holidays. Unfortunately, my sister, who is 7 years my junior, has started having the same problems as I did before my tah/bso -- you all know what I am talking about. So, as part of her Chanukah gift, I gave her a bag -- many sizes of tampons and different absorbencies of maxi pads. She laughed and laughed, then gave me a look since she will definitely be using them. They cost a lot of money -- what a great gift to a family member or friend in need! Happy Holidays!

I pulled a coworker aside and asked "can I ask you a personal question?" ... "Do you want these?" And I opened my huge grocery sized brown bag and showed her the treasure of "feminine stuff" inside. She's got a teenage daughter too and took the whole bag.

Still finding a few "strays" here and there but most of that stuff is gone gone gone.

And yes, I too laugh and dance in the tampon aisle....

What will you do with your tampons?

I loved you comments. I can not wait until my surgery date. I swear I could have bought shares in the tampex industry. I am giving my tampons and pads away to my sister. I can not wait to go shopping...I will have extra dollars for clothes.

swiffer pads

YES they do work!!! I am 4 months out and had ran across a box of Always hiding in the linen closet and put them on the table to use as swiffers...... WELL a few minutes passed and I hear HOHOHO and my 8 year old says mom hurry and was laughing hysterically My precious 5 year old had put them all over her face and was playing SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Immediately grabbed the digital camera and thought about sending these out as CHRISTmas cards however some people would not have found it funny!!!!! As for the swiffer they also work for cleaning mirrors and windows.... Thanks for the ideas as well as the laughs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! Ha!

This is one of the funniest posts I've read! I'm 1-week post, and I have to say, I've not wasted any time on this one! I've already given my supply to my 17-year old daughter! This was a thrill!

It was almost unreal. I have to say, my daughter accepted with open arms and a smile, all to make me feel a little better with my recovery too. The laugh was a little rough, but well worth it.

I am going to be selfish and burn my old tampons in the chimenea outside!!!!!!!

I bought a huge box at Sam's wholesale before I realized I needed surgery.

I am going to burn them one by one! Maybe they will keep the mosquitoes away.

I am loving this web site. It has lots of into I just didn't get elsewhere. I keep threatening to have a little party and give away assortment of feminine products. One thing I did that was a celebratory gesture was to go out and buy and smaller purse because I don't have a lot of "stuff" to carry around any more. Yeah! I now laugh at the tampon aisle too. Thanks every one you keep me laughing and now that I am almost 3 weeks post op it doesn't hurt to laugh any more. Thanks every one!

Not fair to make me laugh so soon after surgery, still tender. I must say I never gave it a thought until I read it this and now I cannot simply give them away because the event has to much meaning now. I can relate to the saving money aspect and the being "free" point of view. The way I see it I stand to save at least 60.00 per month and 3 otherwise well spent days. Enjoy everyone!!!

This is too funny!
I gave mine away to friends. I had a full box of tampons and two packages of pads(my two week supply) Since my surgery I have not even needed a pantyliner!!!
Any discomfort I have had through this whole thing has been worth it if only for that. My Walmart bill is less too!

Happy Holidays Ladies
