Exhausted!

Well, I am not quite as smart as I thought I was!

Last week (4 weeks) I went back to work 1/2 days. It worked fairly well, by noon I knew it was really time to go home for the first 3 days. Thurs and Friday I actually still felt ok, but went home anyway! Rested over the weekend, big time resting on Saturday since I took too long of steps on my walk-but that is another story.
Monday and Tuesday this week I worked all day and seemed to still be doing ok. Going home and doing nothing was my order to myself..

But today??? Whole different story! Hit that wall just as I was leading a staff meeting and managed to get through it, grab my purse and head out the door..I went straight to bed and woke up too late to go to the Christmas programs the grandkids are in.. 2 separate ones tonight at different schools. Missed one last week too, and now there are more Thurs and Friday.. This hurts the most. Grandma always comes!! I had to cry a little over this for sure! I am still soooo tired! Hopefully, I will sleep better tonight..

Thanks for listening ladies. I just needed to whine a little I think.

Exhausted!

Hi. I have just started back to work 1/2 days this week (4 weeks post-TVH). Yesterday (Tues) wasn't too bad, today was a little rough. Spent most of the afternoon and evening on the couch and even took some Darvocet, which I hadn't had to do for a while.

I guess our bodies are telling us to 'take it easy girlfriend' and we just have to listen. It sure is hard when you have to miss family events and things. I missed our company Christmas party last week, just couldn't do it.

We'll be back to 'normal' soon (I hope) if we listen to our bodies and follow all the rules.

Happy HOlidays.

Exhausted!

Kathy-
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll let you know how it goes today. At least I slept the entire night through. I'm sure that will help!

You are about a week behind me. I had LAVH/BSO and some major 'repair' work.

I was not prepared for this length of time for recovery for sure.. I kept hearing 3-4 weeks!! NOT! This is not going according to my plans!

I think I had the wrong plan! Work is being great about it though! That is a real relief. I live alone and have done pretty well being careful with what I do.

Happy Holidays to you too!
Stephanie
