testosterone patch for women

Hello,

Is there any such thing as natural testosterone like with the progestorone creams? My doctor has put me on progestorone pills, and a estrogen mix with testosterone in pill form also.

Thanks,
Ramona

testosterone patch

Hi Ramona Yes, natural testosterone is available in cream form from a compounding pharmacy. The 'testosterone' in Estratest (is that the pill you're taking?) is not natural testosterone, but methyltestosterone. The reason they use methyltestosterone is because natural testosterone breaks down too easily in the digestive system. When you use a cream form, digestion isn't an issue, so you can use natural testosterone.

The cream form is less likely to cause changes in liver function and less likely to adversely affect cholesterol, too. You can get it in any type of cream or gel base you like, depending on where you want to apply it. Some ladies apply it to the vulva, while others put it on their wrists, ankles, upper arms or other places as specified by their DR.

I've been using compounded natural testosterone cream for over two years now, and am very happy with it.

s,
-Linda
