hoping my health is better next year after tvh and lump in breast

I sure do hope that my health is better in 2005. After my tvh in Oct.04, I had my first mammogram in November and they found a mass so I had a biopsy a week later which came back more or less inconclusive. So this past Friday I had surgery to remove the lump. I should find out something hopefully by tomorrow or Wed. if it's malignant or benign. The holidays this year has been a big struggle for me. I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me. I know God is watching over me and he will take care of me but I am still a little scared. If this turns out ok, I am looking forward to a healthier '05 hopefully.

I wish you good health. I also had a bad year, healthwise. I had surgery in May to remove my right adrenal gland because of a tumor on the gland, which had to been done before my hyst. In June I had my hyst. In between the two major surgeries, I had a benign cyst removed from my right breast. Thank God, all test came back normal. My health is much better and I am feeling terrific.

I made a promise to my self to never again neglect my health. Life is way too precious to take it for granted.

Here's to good health in 2005.

I hope your biopsy comes back ok. I know it is very stressful waiting and not knowing. It seems like we have all been through alot this year.
I neglected my health for a very long time, but will never do it again. I almost bled out before I finally got myself to a dr. I had a 3 unit transfusion, so I would survive surgery. I put alot of uncalled for stress on myself for a long time. I had my hyst. in May, then gallbladder removed in Sept. I now have been diagnosed with a moderate rectocele and enterocele. I guess that means another surgery before long. I too am hoping for a much healthier 2005.
I think us ladies put too much on ourselves to even take time to take care of our health.

I hope you get good news soon.

I guess I am not the only one who has had a bad year when it comes to health. I'm sorry that you all had alot of health problems to. My lump was in my right breast also. I am hoping and praying that mine is benign also. They say that 95% of the time when these lumps are removed that they are benign. People who don't have very many health issues don't know how lucky they are. I also have a heart murmur which is aggravating to. I hope if you have another surgery that it will go well. I pray for better health next year for all of us.

Debbie;

I do hope your results come back negitive. I neglected to get mamograms as I should of and last spring when I decided I had to have one they found two areas of question on my right breast. For me it ended in a mascetomy. The good news was that they got it so early that no other treatment was nessary. I know that the waiting is hard but once you know then you can go on. Know that it is better to find out what is going on than to ignore and then have a much worse thing to deal with. Praying for you.

Debbie, you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that your biopsy comes back benign. I do think that us girls, young or older, tend to put our own health on the back burner more often than we should. We tend to put other people and things ahead of our health and well being. For 2005, it is my hope that we will all take better control of our health and well being. May we all have a HEALTHIER 2005!!!!

Please keep us updated!!

God Bless you all!!!!

Ironically, this was my very first mammogram. I turned 40 five (5) days after my tvh so I thought I would get that out of the way before the end of the year. I never dreamed that I would be having surgery again last Friday. I am glad though that I didn't put it off just in case it is malignant. Early detection is vital when it comes to breast cancer. I will be a nervous wreck tomorrow until I hear something from the doctor. The people where I had this lump removed were great and very caring. That means so much. It was St. Mary's Ambulatory Surgery Center here in Knoxville, TN. They were really great. Thank you all for your very caring words and the prayers. It means so much.

Debbie, I too had to have a surgical biopsy on my left breast on the 8th of this month due to suspicious calcifications. I then had a TAH on the 13th. The biopsy came back negative - thanks to the good Lord! Most are harmless, but still puts a question in our mind. I made up my mind to stay on top of my health, this is the only body I will have a chance to take care of. The hospital is not a fun place to be at. While I was there, I envied the people rushing past me as I slowing walked, hanging on to my IV cart. I thought of the numerous patients around the world who weren't as blessed as I. I guess having this type of health crisis has put my heart in the right direction. Take care, I'll hold you up in my prayers!

Hi!
I have traveled down the road of breast cancer and I learned that 80% of biopsies come back as benign. So, the odds are in your favor. In fact, I had a suspicious mass in my breast that wasn't affected with breast cancer, had a biopsy, and it came back as benign. All this 9 years after treatment!

If the worst happens, please know that there are a bunch of us out here to help and support you. By the way, my cancer was found on my baseline mamogram. How's that for an intorduction to mamograms?

Best wishes for a B9 outcome!
