still tired at 11 weeks, anyone???

I just need the official word from you guys!

I am still so tired at 11 weeks. I have been doing all my mommy duties since one-and-a-half weeks postop, and I went back to work (desk job) at six weeks, which is in the evenings, and with the early activity, I expected to be tired then. I am so tired, I just can't figure out what's wrong.

Is it still normal to be noticably tired at 11 weeks post abdominal hyster? My husband, though usually very supportive, doesn't know what to think about my need to nap at any possible free moment!

Thanks ladies!

Hi,

Fatigue is a very common side effect of this surgery. With me, it lasted for almost a full year. I would be fine, then just suddenly, out of the blue, be overwhelmed with a wave of complete exhaustion.

Here's an article which talks about post-hysterectomy fatigue: http://www.applesforhealth.com/hyster1.html

The only advice I can give you is to get plenty of rest and exercise and take a good multi-vitamin. And just hang in there, this too shall pass!

s,

Lisa
