Please pray for my family

Dear Sisters--
I am 8 weeks out from my TAH and am experiencing so many family problems that I am at my wits end.

My son suffers from a serious mental illness. His wife has stuck by him but is now near a mental breakdown herself from dealing with the ups and downs of his illness. I need God to let me know how I can help her. My DH and I and her and my son are having lunch together tomorrow to talk some family issues out. Please pray that this will go well for all of us. I need God to guide me in what I say.

In addition, my DD has found a man to love and will probably marry him. My DIL and my future SIL hate each other. Please pray that they may find peace. Since we all live in the same town, this is tearing my family to pieces.

To cap it all off, my mother has started saying mean and hateful things to my dear aunt and myself. My aunt had a hyster many years ago and adopted a DD, who is now grown. My mother said some very mean and hateful things about my cousin's adoption and how she isn't really my aunt's daughter. I am totally repulsed by what she said. Then, when I called my mother to try and smooth things out, everything was my fault. :burning:

I'm sorry this is so long. It sounds like I live in a soap opera, doesn't it! I need your prayers right now because I don't believe in mine right now. My faith is strong, I just have no confidence in my prayers. Thank you sisters!

I am so sorry you have so much going on this early in your recovery. You need to remember yourself and take care of your needs so that you will continue to recover well.

I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers. I pray that God will give you all strength and comfort as you work through the issues that your family faces and peace to put all of this behind you. Keep your faith and keep praying. Have confidence in your prayers...God is listening.

Hello Paula,
Families are often hard to deal with, with the varieties of personalities etc. I am so sorry that your family is experiencing such problems at the moment and do hope that with God's help these problems can be sorted out.

It is always horrible when people say such horrid, hurtful things such as your mother has. I am sure that your Aunty adopted your cousin and has loved and cared for her as if she was her own natural daughter, and your cousin IS her daughter, your cousin, your mothers niece and for your mother to say such things is inappropriate of your mother. I will keep you and all your family in my prayers and pray that everyone can be happy in their extended family, you don't always have to like everyone but it isn't that hard to be polite to others.

Thank you all for your prayers. I had lunch with my DS and DIL on Friday, and it went well. Hopefully this will continue in the right direction. God opened my eyes to some things I needed to change as well, and I am very grateful for that. I'm feeling better about the validity of my own prayers, and for that I am also very grateful.
