Weight gain/loss?

Has anyone experience weight loss after a hysterectomy? Does being on ERT always cause weight gain? How long before you fit into your regular clothes again? I have so many questions------

Weight gain/loss?

I GAINED weight in the hospital...4 pounds!

I lost the 4 pounds about two weeks post op and now am hovering at the same weight! I was counting on dropping a good 20 lbs. over my initial recovery. YEAH RIGHT! I am a "fluffy" and need to lose around 75 lbs. to be at a comfortable, healthy weight.

I was REALLY hoping to drop some poundage with this surgery, but it looks like it ain't gonna happen! It really doesn't help that I am being a lump on the log either! No activity = Plump

Let me know if you have any success with the weight issue!

Best wishes,

Sarah

Weight gain/loss?

I gained weight while in the hospital -- due to a "diet" of fruit juices and other liquids like Jello. My first meal was bread and food I'd never eat at home. All stuff sure to make one fat -- high in carbs and high in the glycemic index. I was so grateful to be home eating my own healthy, nutritious foods. Now, I've started losing weight, and weigh less than before surgery. Hope it continues. I'm overweight from the high cortisol levels I had due to my pain -- it should all normalize now.

Weight gain/loss?

I gained 6 lbs in the hospital, due to the fluids, I guess. Was hopeful after a couple of days when it went away. Then, however, the progressive no exercise/stuffing face poundage started coming on. I'm a "boredom" eater, and not being able to exercise has really hurt me. I'm due to go back to work on Monday and can't imagine what I can even fit into, I've been wearing nothing but "sweats" for the past 6 weeks.

I am meeting with a personal trainer on Monday and really hope that turns things around.

Weight gain/loss?

I've lost about 20lbs since surgery. I have lost the desire to eat. My boys keep finding half eaten food around the house and think it is funny. I use to eat everything in site.

Weight gain/loss?

I had my doctor appointment yesterday and lost 5 pounds. How I did that, I don't know. All I do is eat my respective meals and lay around. Anyway, regardless of losing the 5 lbs., my tummy is still big and lumpy and ugly.

Can't wait to start doing sit-ups again, and hope they help!

Weight gain/loss?

I can't wait until I'm given the go ahead for exercise. I feel like I'm wasting my gym membership. I feel so good, I keep having to tell myself that I'm recovering and not to do anything. I look forward to my weights again.

Weight gain/loss?

I'm gaining. No activity at 4 weeks post and my hubby
buys 6 fresh donuts every morning. He is also roasting almonds and has learned how to make a boxed cake with the ready to spread frosting. He listened to the cooking program, "Paula" and learned how to make DEEP FRIED BISCUITS. This hysterectomy has created a monster in my kitchen! I'm up 5 pounds!

Happy New Year!

Weight gain/loss?

I have lost 10 pounds since before my surgery but I have always been thin. It is easy for me to lose but hard to get it back on. I am 5'10" and weight 136#. My Dr. said I should have gained 10# before surgery but that is easier said than done. I didn't feel much like eating the first couple of weeks but am doing better now so I am sure it will come back.
