Hi!
Blood in your urine could mean many things, but what it is telling you is that you need to call your doctor!! If he is not in today, his/her answering service should be able to get in touch with them. If you have pain or fever associated with the blood, don't hesitate to go to the ER!
Good luck to you!

Hi, Imetle!
Really, you should call your doctor. After my hyst in March until last month I was the queen of bladder infections. If you don't get it treated it can get into your kidneys...and you really, really don't want that to happen! Your doc should be able to prescribe some Cipro or Macrobid and it will get rid of a lot of your discomfort and bleeding really quickly.

I had the same symptoms about 8 days post op, was a raging uti by the time I saw the surgeon 3 days later. Without giving you the scarey details, treatment wasn't as easy as taking an antibiotic for a few days because I waited so long. Don't do what I did, it wasn't the smartest thing to wait. (I'm an RN, the say medical personel are the worse patients!) Good luck to you, hope you are feeling better soon!
