urodynamic testing?

Hi
I called my gyn today about lack of urge to urinate. He said it may not be from another prolapse. He ordered me urodynamic testing. It was scheduled at a associates office. I am having the tests Thursday, which is much sooner than my gyn thought it would be able to be done. He thought maybe my posterior repair surgery may need to be moved back. It may not now, since I am having the tests so quickly. My gyn wants everything fixed at the same time if more work is needed. He said it could end up being that I need my bladder operated on too, but too early to say for sure. Or I may have a anterior prolapse that will need fixed. Either way. I feel I am in good hands. He just wants to have answers before going in for my posterior repair surgery.
My sister thinks I should find another gyn. I think I can trust mine and he has always directed me in the right direction to find causes of my problems.
How do you tell your sister to butt out?!I don't feel like my gyn would send me to a unqualified specialist. Things can happen to the bladder and pelvic floor after 4 c sections and a hyst. That is alot on the pelvic floor!

I just had to vent a little.
thanks
Peggy

urodynamic testing?

Peggy,

Good Luck with the tests and your upcoming surgery.

I think you are right a lot can happen. You just need to tell your sister that you appreciate her concern but you still have faith in your Dr.

I'm not sure if your sister's timing is better or worse than my DH's. He told me after my TAH (the 3rd surgery within 6 months) that he didn't have a lot of faith left in my GYN. I was amazed. I did and still do have faith in my GYN and so I'm not sure what I would have done if he had told me before the TAH.

Take Care!!
