UGH Surgery rescheduled

I just got a call about an hour ago at home from my GYN surgeon. She had to reschedule my surgery to January 25th - two weeks later. Now I have to call up the Surgical Pre-Admission people tomorrow and reschedule that appointment for the blood work and talk with the Anesth. team. I'm a littel bummed out but not really as upset as I thought I'd be. Probably because my surgeon told me her father passed away and I can certainly understand that. Plus I don't think I'd really want someone operating on me that was upset over family issues anyway I just hope now the my DD - who planned to take off two weeks can get out of jury duty. Yep, that's right, he has been called to jury duty from Jan 24 - Feb 4. My mom can come down as a back up, but I'd really prefer my DD to be there with me. Also, I'm thinking my period may just be ready to start again - I thought I was finally finished with them!! Does anyone out there know if they will do a hyst when you're on your period? And the other thing I have to think about is general or epidural. Well at least I have more time to decide that. Anyway, thanks for listening. This is the best place to get things of my chest and you ladies are great!!

Sorry you got rescheduled, at least you'll have more time to research if you want to! Yes, they'll do the surgery if you're having your period, guess it happens all the time. I had general anesthesia, and it worked fine for me. Go onto the post-op board and ask this question and you'll get feed back there.
