starting my 5th week anyone else??

Hi Ladies......

Well lets see......
1st Thankyou all for being here for me I don't think I would have made it this far if you all where not here for me

Also I have had a hard time of it.... burning - hurting - achy - tired - can't get comfortable - forget about a full night sleep.

But I am 5 weeks out ONLY and like you all say it IS getting better..... Each day the burning gets less and so does everything else.....

I still am not driving (family is doing everything for me) I feel like I am having twins and carry low in my 10th month.....

But at least I am not eating like before.... I am now as of last night sleeping on my stomach.... (will let you know about tonight)

I am going back to work next Wed the 12th (only 1/2 days to work up to the full days the week later) I work in the HS and yes I do miss the kids Not the work......

OK enough about me----
Now How are you all doing???? write and sound off......

your friend
Susan

starting my 5th week anyone else??

HI susan......i had my TAH/BSO the exact same day as you......it is good hearing from someone who became a Princess the same day as me !!

i have been doing well....after an opened incision and seroma.....but all in all....i am feeling good ....i go back for my check up tomorrow......doc said he will do a vaginal sonogram to check out my vaginal cuff tomorrow... i hope it is healed...i'm kinda wanting to get the " green light" ....so is hubby !!

i am going bk to work jan 17......i am a nurse and i work 12 hr shifts.....no part time for me.....so i am trying to walk some every day to build up my endurance .

my biggest problem is insomnia....i was NOT a good sleeper before my surgery.......now i am AWFUL . i am up and down all nite long.....i sleep maybe in 90 minute stretches.... and i maybe take a 20 min cat nap during the day. i started 0.3 mg premarin 9 days ago.......i feel less " moody and weepy "... which is very good....

wishing you well as you return to work.....good luck

starting my 5th week anyone else??

Hi ladies,

My date was 12-1-04. I too, had tons of deep burning, incision pain and pelvic pressure. I had the bowel problems and peeing is still not fun. I can only sleep on my side for about 30 minutes. My skin still burns and it's very uncomfortable to lean up against anything. Ya, I still have swelly belly and the cliff too.

On the lighter side, I'm able to tie my shoes, shave my legs, and get in and out of bed without calling 911! My tummy muscles down to my knees keep wanting to stretch and spasm. I'm doing very well on my hormone patch. I sleep well, but get up once to pee. I can sneeze, cough and laugh!

I'm taking 2 to 3 walks outdoors aday. Still not driving or shoping. I'm cooking and doing the laundry though. Everything eased up on week 3-4 and I'm better now each day. Going for my 6 week exam this Friday...would not like a vaginal sonogram like ellenrn has to have. I don't regret the having the surgery at all...In fact, I'm very greatful.

Best wishes returning to work Susan. Enjoy your new freedom of periods and pain.
