What happens to the eggs???

Don't laugh, but if you have TAH but keep you ovaries, what happens to the eggs when you ovulate??? Do they just float around inside or what??

I had the same question and was told that they are absorbed into the abdomen.

After about 48 - 60 hours, they dissolve, same as before.

I still think it's a good thing we "usually" only produce one a month - else they would build up in there like caviar!

I don't think there will ever be a market for it though.

The eggs, which are very, very tiny (about the size of the period at the end of a sentence in a book and barely visible to the naked eye), are simply reabsorbed by the body.
