1 week feeling good but can't sleep

Glad to hear you are feeling good!

I remember feeling really good my first week. I believe it was due to the remnant narcotics and anethestic in my body. I thought... This is a piece of cake! Why are all these women whining about it!!! But I ate my words!!!!

Pleeeeze take it easy. It can be soooo deceiving at times. I found by the end of week two I was really starting to feel the true pain and tiredness.

I am seven weeks post op and just this week, feel my energy levels increasing and at times...almost forget I had the surgery.

You will be tempted to do more but DON'T!!! Your body is so early in it's recovery.
Resist the urges to do more and take the full 6-8 weeks to heal. You only get one chance!

As for night sweats...your ovaries were probably fondled and prodded and will take some time to readjust. I had trouble sleeping too at first. At around five to six weeks, I found sleeping became better.

Best of luck with your recovery!

Sarah

1 week feeling good but can't sleep

I just had my TLH done Jan 4, ovaries still inside me, I feel great but find I tire easy. A little nausea here and there. Still having problems in the BM dept too. Hot flashes are here and there.

I tripped tonight and now am feeling a little more tenderness than I did have. Thinking I pulled something.

I do still have trouble sleeping as well. I found with my other surgeries I was a bit more tired and could NOT sleep. Hoping I get back to normal soon.

Going to take it easy the rest of the evening and just read here and there on the net.
