Surgery for painful sex

I don't know if this is helpful for anyone else, but I'm 7 months post-op TVH for cancer and sex is still painful.

I have had scar tissue burned off inside me vagina 4 times now and the inside is finally healed up and the pain inside is gone. It was something constant, not just with sex, but also walking as well. I should mention that I'm also on my 3rd doctor as well. He found the last of the scar tissue last month that was causing me constant pain.

Now I'm left with pain only when I have an orgasm. Everything is good and then wham! I'm hit with a baseball bat between the legs. He thinks that my ovary has probably attached itself to the vaginal wall and is going to laproscopic surgery this friday to see if he can correct the problem.

Scar tissue is something that everyone gets after surgery, but some people more than others and some people it causes pain. It's just a matter of removing the painful scar tissue is my understanding. This doctor tells me I should feel perfectly normal 3 days after the surgery. Most doctors I don't believe anymore, but since he's taken away so much of my pain, I'm feeling a bit more sure of him and this upcoming surgery.

We'll see.....

Surgery for painful sex

Hi (((fishlady))) You have been through so much since your surgery, and yet you have persisted in seeking medical help to help you heal properly and enable you to have pain-free sex. Good for you! I hope this upcoming surgery will be the last obstacle in your way, and that the DR is right about your feeling perfectly normal a few days afterwards.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes, OK?
