prolapse and exercise

Does anyone know if it's ok to exercise with prolapse problems? I don't want to make anything worse, but I really want to join a gym and start and exercise program - any advice and what to do and not to do? I've had a tvh 1-1/2 yrs ago for uterine prolapse, and 7 months ago my doctor said I have slight vaginal prolapse. I feel a little more pressure than I use to, so I think its probably getting worse. I will visit my doctor, but I don't think it's an emergency so I'm not worried. It's something that I always knew this prolapse problem could progress to over time, so I guess it's a part of my life. But in the meantime, I really need to get moving. Does anyone have any suggestions what exercises I should do, and what to avoid? Thank you.

prolapse and exercise

Hi barco

I had my hyst, in December 2000, to remove a huge fibroid and to repair a stage 3 rectocele. While, in my case, the prolapse hasn't returned, it's forever a concern that it might.

Since you already have a mild prolapse, I think that it's important that you discuss any exercise program with your doctor. I remember that when my rectocele was first diagnosed, my doctor told me to avoid straining in order to avoid making it worse.

Sending tons of s your way. I do hope that your doctor has good news for you.
