New here see intro in intro new area

I am new, and pre- Hysterectomy. I am post Menopausal and started having problems in Mid November. Just has a Biopsey this past Thursday and waiting results to see if it is cancer. From there come Friday this week will speak to doctors about type of Hysterectomy will be done and schedule dates etc.

There is a family history of fibroids which I had and uterine cancer. I have been post menopausal for nearly 3 years, I am 55. I am going to be glad to get this behind me. I hope it is not cancer. I am having mixed feelings about if it is if I want to go through chemo if it is. I don't think I want to. But not sure. hopefully it isn't cancer and I won't have to worry about it.

This is the third time I have had trouble and had to have D n C done and had polyps or fibroids. They said this time my Uterus is also very swollen. I also feel so tired.

Any help, ideas, suggestions welcome, Right now I feel in the dark and my quality of life has gone down hill the past 10 weeks. I was losing weight had gone from dress size 24 to 20 and some cases 18 now up to a 22 again. This is so frusterating.

Hubby is very supportive though and helps a lot, will be glad when it is all over and hopefully my life can get back to some kind of normal.

Thanks for listening. Jen

Hi, I am a 42 yr old who is having a full on 2/2. I can understand your feelings. I am a total emotional wreck. I just joined today but have already read some great things in the Pre-op section. As a matter of fact, I am going to suggest to my caregivers (sisters) that they read through it too.

I am here if you would like to chat.

Hi Jen and !

I am sorry you are having problems and I know you are feeling anxious to get your biopsy results back. I will say a prayer for you that your biopsy is benign and there is no cancer.

I hope you find HysterSisters as helpful as I have! It is just a great place with fantastic information and wonderful support!

Please keep us posted and I hope everything goes well for you!
