question concerning surgery and diabetes

Hi there. I am new to the board, and although I have been doing a lot of reading, and asking a lot of questions, I am still nervous. Is anyone else a diabetic? I am really worried about post op complications, and am wondering if I can do anything else pre op to help myself.

I'm so glad you found Hystersisters! It is full of great information and of course, terrific support!

I assume your doctor is aware of your diabetes so he/she will know what is best for you during your surgery and recovery as it relates to your diabetes. I don't have any personal experience to share with you, but I know there are some ladies here who did have their surgeries and also have diabetes. Hopefully, someone will be by soon!
