Tired at 6 weeks post op

I am 6 weeks post op and have been feeling pretty good. The past couple of days I started feeling tired and worn out. Has anyone else felt this way and will it go away. I am to return to work next week and am wondering if I will make a full day. I still have some pressure/pain from my bladder also. Any advice on when this will get better???

Tired at 6 weeks post op

Hi,

If someone has an answer I sure would like to know also. I'm starting to think this is going to be an on & off thing...

I felt great at 6 weeks and felt I had enough energy for laundry, cooking, some shopping.
At week 10, I started working and it was a hard week: tired and swelly belly.
Week 11 was good, I felt OK I'm getting the hang of it.
Now I'm experiencing tiredness again at 12 weeks.

I don't think I have been overdoing that much. I work 4 days a week: I'm off on wednesdays so I work 2 days in a row then I'm off. I have an administrative job so I sit at a computer quite a lot, but I try to walk around a bit. I was exercising a bit last week, but forget it this week: I have to sit in the recliner all evening !

It's 12:45, I'm on my lunch break and what I wouldn't give for my bed right now...

What is going on?

Tired at 6 weeks post op

I am also 6 wks postop and I know how you feel. I feel really good but I'm starting to get back to regular activities. Sometimes, after a full day, I feel worn out and want to go to bed by 8:00/lol.

I had my 6 wk check yesterday and I mentioned the bladder pressure and pain that I am still having. She said it would keep getting better with time. My belly still gets sore too.

Could be if you are having alot of pain, you may have a bladder infection and that may cause you to feel tired too. Do you feel tired all the time or just after doing stuff? I would check with your DR if it is too bad.

I return to work Monday too and I worry that I'll be totally whipped by the end of the day.

Good luck with everything!

Tired at 6 weeks post op

Yep, it is an up and down thing.

I am eight weeks post op and just now feel a little more consistent with the energy levels!

The days of needing rest are farther apart. I do take those days when I need them though. I have really learned to listen to my body!

It does get better...truly!

Best wishes,

Sarah
