Thumbs up - Bladder pain after "mmmm" Bladder pain after "mmmm"

Hi Sisters,

This is the first time I have posted on this Forum. Im 5.4 weeks post op and last night is the first time DBF and I made *mmmmmm*. It went quite well But my bladder has been hurting all day, I had sharpe pains right after.
Does anybody know if this is normal?
The Dr at the hospital told me after surgrey that they left "old deposits of endo on my ureaters" I think I have spelt that wrong.SORRY>

Any advice girls.

Same problem

Angel:
Hi! I'm about 5 weeks & 4-5 days, something like that. I was trying some "entertainment" for my husband - nothing internal - but I've been feeling like I'm engorged ever since - I'd relate that to pain as it kept me up during the night. I had a bladder puncture during my hyst so I had a catheter for 3 weeks and I'm approaching the 3rd week without it. If you get a response, I'd love to hear about it. I'm going in for my 6 week this next week. I'll be calling the DR about this "change" on Monday. Maybe we can compare notes.

Wink - Bladder pain after "mmmm" Pain after "MMM"

Hi Ladies,

I was having the same problem and asked my doctor about it too. She told me that after surgery there is scar tissue that can hurt when pressure is on it. Unfortunately, it is more than a year following my surgery and it has not gone away. My best advice is to begin "mmm" slowly and let your partner know the point at which it begins feeling uncomfortable. Then it is HIS job to remember just how far he can "come in". If that doesn't work for you, have him come at you from behind. If you keep your hips low on the bed, it is more difficult for him to go all the way in. Also, in this position, you can take the initiative and control the motion. Hopefully, you won't need these ideas for long and you'll be feeling better.

Best of luck & health !

Advice from another

I had another posting and received a reply from a hyster sister who was definitive about not just talking to the doctor but seeing the doctor. When I had mmmm the first couple of times, it was very gentle and my dh was probably worn out being gentle more than anything else. The third time, I had on a pair of boots that sort of "lit his fire" and he forgot all about the gentle. This caused searing pain for me which lasted for days. It's not a little pain..and it has continued as a low grade for the last two weeks.

Anyway, they don't know what the issue is and I've had an ultra sound which lasted 1 1/2 hours, causing spotting.

I'm now scheduled to have some scar tissue removed and have been told that should take care of things. Because the way things are now, I can't have mmmm.

Bladder pain after "mmmm"

Sal,

I should have made myself clearer. I asked my doctor during a visit and would always suggest checking with a doctor before trying anything you read on a post.

My reply was directed toward Tricia since she did have the same complication as you did.

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having problems after all you went through. Hopefully, after this procedure everything will be "mm mmm" good.

Bladder pain after "mmmm"

Hi Tricia,

Did you get the "all clear" from your Dr before indulging? Most Drs advise you to wait until at least 6 weeks because you are still healing, in my case it was 10 weeks before it was comfortable so everybody is different. You need to see your Dr but definitely wait until he says go ahead before you try again. If anything causes you pain you should stop. Listen to your body.

Best wishes,
Blossom

bladder pain and blood in urine

ok . . . so add to the sore bladder the day or so after sex that I sometimes have blood in my urine, too. I would say there is blood in my urine maybe 80% of the time after sex for the first few times I urinate afterwards.

I dunno why it seems embarrassing to talk to my doc about this, but not to a bunck of strangers on a board . . . so, has this happened to anyone else and what did you do?

sounds like a trip to the urologist

Angela:
If it were me - I'd make a trip to the gyno and urologist. I had a hole poked in my bladder during surgery - lived with a catheter for 3 weeks. I'm not a DR, but blood coming out in urine is not a good sign for someone who is supposed to be healed enough for sex.

Just as a side line - I went to talk with our family physician at about 8 weeks (the time I'd been told I could have sex by the gyno), she said to wait another 4 weeks because I was healing slowly. Did I listen to her? somewhat. Have I paid a price? oh baby. Also - it's not just, does it hurt now, but does it cause a problem that will require care in the future because we were too impatient.

Find someone with the letters after their name - to tell you you are ok - alright?

Bladder pain after "mmmm"

Yeah . . . I guess I know I should see a doc . . . ugh. I just wanted to hear from others if maybe they had anything similar.

It has been 8 months since my hyst, and it was nearly 10 weeks before any sex--and it was so timid that you could barely have called it sex (hehe), but once things, ehm, picked up the pace a little, this started.
Sadly that relationship ended before I got to the decision to see a doc, and it made it easy to think it was just him--but now I have met someone else and it is all starting again . . . :-(

So, I should call my ob/gyn who did my surgery, huh?

Thanks for the super quick response!!!

yes - go see them

Ang

yeah, you need to go see your ob/gyn - they need to refer you to a urologist who needs to look inside.

Sorry - let me know how it goes. I'm going back in for fixing it.
