4 weeks post-op- more pain (???)

Hi Ladies!!

I am almost 4 weeks post-op (TAH on 1/3 - staples removed 1/7 -about 9-10 inch incision)

I was doing MUCH better as far as pain during the beginning of the third week. I have not taken pain pills in almost 2 weeks. I am now having pain that is difficult to describe. It is a "heavy hurting feeling" all around my incision area. It hurts to stand up and sit down....this was not happening about 4 days ago. I was virtually pain free...just sore.

Are any of you 4 weekers experiencing this??

Just wondering if this is normal...

almost 5 weeks

I will be 5 weeks on monday, but I have some days I think I am so much better, then I feel like I regress. I honestly think it is that way & sometimes it happens because of what we did the day before. My problem is at exactly 4 weeks I felt much better then a couple days that were not so good, but as soon as my body feels better I think I am up & more active, not vacuuming or anything but just more up & about.Went & done a little shopping today & out for dinner, now I will probably suffer tomorrow.

the pain is a rollercoaster for sure.

You begin to feel more able, so do a little more, but your body reacts.

I felt like I could conquer the world at 4-5 weeks, then at 7 weeks felt like Ihad been hit like a ton of bricks, tummy swelled more than ever and the heaviness and pain was back.

You just have to continue to take it easy pain means your body is telling you to rest.

Also if you only recently stopped taking pain meds you will be feeling things you may not have before.
