If there is anyone who has tried both testoserone in troche form and compounded testosterone cream, could you comment on any differences in effectiveness? Does the troche just get absorbed in the mouth, so that the testosterone doesn't go through the liver like Estratest does?
(((Esther))) I haven't used both, just the compounded cream (and gel too). You are correct that the troches end up acting much the way the creams do in that they avoid that first pass through the liver.
The difference would be imho that with the creams, they can be applied to the genitals directly (a common place for women to use testosterone). Due to the blood-vagina barrier, the creams would result in a higher concentration in that area. As far as libido and energy level go, however, I would think they'd be much the same.
