HELP itching itching itching all over

I am at 7 weeks post op and have had a pretty good recovery except the last couple days ago. Whenever I get out of the shower I seem to have an itchy rash all over. I have not changed soap, shampoo, lotion or anything. Have any of you encountered this? Not sure what to do, but need some advice.

Your rash could be hormonal. I used to get them too. I would call your doctor, they can either recommend you use an over-the-counter ointment (which didn't work for me) or give you a prescription one (which did work well for me). It has been a while and I would have to look up the name of the medicine, but it is similar to hydrocortisone cream.

This has happened to me in the past, prior to surgery.

Now I put the towels on extra rinse. Before I had the new washer, used to run towels through 2 complete cycles, the second without soap. Looked in a couple of times - it is amazing how much soap is still left after the first cycle.

Sounds like its hormonal. I had bad case of eczema in my teens and it returned when I entered the peri-menopause life stage. I broke in hives and rashes so bad that I went to an allergist 2 years ago. Discovered I had become sensitive to dust, mold, mildew, and pet dander. Since my teens, I did not have any problems with allergies until a couple of years ago. Now, I take Zyrtec, use an air filter, and wash all new clothing and bath accessories that I buy before using them.

May want to follow-up with your primary care docotor.
