Yellowish discharge between 7 and 8 weeks

Hi! I'm a newbie! Had LAVH on 12/14/04. Had checkup with gyn on 1/6/05. He said everything was fine and intercourse okay. Two weeks ago I had two different times of spotting, and I phoned gyn office - and was told this is normal. Now I have been experiencing a yellowish discharge (not real thick, but not real thin). I do not experience any pain, but I am concerned about the discharge. The discharge occurs almost daily now. I wonder if this is normal or should I phone my doctor? The discharge doesn't really have an odor - so I don't know. Thanks for your help.

Yellowish discharge between 7 and 8 weeks

I had total LAVH on Dec. 16th. I was told no sex for 6 weeks - of course we only made it to 5 weeks. I had the discharge up until my stitches dissolved (right at 6 weeks) - I know this is gross, but I could tell when I used the restroom - could see them on the toilet tissue. Anyway, you may want to contact your MD - I have heard that some people have the discharge longer than others and that it is normal - but I would call just to make sure.

Good Luck!
Penny

You are probably fine since you are not having any bleeding or pain, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Everyone is different, maybe it is just taking longer for you to heal inside than I did.

Yellowish discharge between 7 and 8 weeks

Hi Lisa,

Just wanted to say hello and I hope that everything is going okay now. Your post caught my eye because my name is Lisa Renee!!!
I had a TAH on Jan 20 2005 and am still waiting on everything to get back to normal!!! I'm having discharge too, but mine is like a light period and my dr. tells me that this is normal, but i'm ready for it to be over with! Hang in there!

Responding to other LisaRenee

I hope you heal quickly! I also had a light type "period" for a couple of weeks, but that has cleared up and now I am just experiencing the discharge. I have tried phoning my doctor, but he has not yet called me back. I hope you have a speedy recovery! By the way, I put an apostrophe between my name like this - Rene'e. Do you do the same?

Lisa,
yep! my name has that too! My firstborn daughter's middle name is renee too, but I dropped it in her name because I always would forget to put it in mine when I signed my name! lol
I hope everything continues to heal with you and let me know how things turn out with your DR.
You can e-mail me anytime!
Lisa
