burning sensation

hiya ladies
.its been just over 2 weeks since my tah.Day by day i've started to get about and feel better in myself.
so last night i was pestering the hubby to take me for a short stroll, just to get out into the fresh air was exciting.
i went down a flight of stairs and only managed to walk another 50 metres when i had this horrible burning sensation in my tum.i went straight back into my home as i felt really sick and and hot.
i had to get straight back into bed. the burning only went away as i slept and woke up this morning drained.
is this normal?
i dont know what i would do without this website,i haven't seen a doctor since surgery and have been told i wont until my 6 week post op.All you ladies have been my rock, with no advice from the medical staff here ,you good people are the only people to advise me.god bless love vikki (uk)xxx

burning sensation

Hi Vikki,

I didn't have the same type of surgery as you, but I have seen many posts on here from other sisters who've had burning after their TAH. Some seem to complain of burning when they'd done too much, but others seemed to have it even without activity.

At about my 2 week mark I had to spend a couple days on the couch because of vaginal spotting and pressure. Sometimes these new pains are just part of the healing process. It would be nice if they weren't so mysterious though, wouldn't it?
Take it easy today and see if things settle down for you. If it gets worse you can call your dr.

Hope you feel better. Take care~
s,
Beth

burning sensation

I had burning especially on my right side just below the incision everytime I tired to get up or roll over. I did call my doctor who said that it is probably nerve regeneration. I am now more than 4 weeks post op and the burning pain is less often and less severe.

Hang in there, but don't be afraid to call your doctor if the pain persists or you are concerned.
