leg ache

Hi again, just wondering if anyone else has this. I started premarin on Friday, so today is my 4th day of taking it. So far no major problems. My hot flashes are becoming less (as in how many pre day), and I do have some heartburn. But noticed yesterday and today the my leg is aching. In church yesterday I couldn't cross my legs cause they would just ache. The right one is worse. Has anyone else had this? Does it go away? Is this something I should be concerned about??
thank you
chele.

leg ache

Yes, you should be concerned about any leg pain. Please call your doctor to rule out the possibility of a blood clot. If you can't reach the dr., go to the ER. At 3 weeks post op I was admitted to the hospital with a clot. My only symptom was a pain in my inner thigh. I had none of the symptoms which usually accompany the pain.

I hope your pain turns out to be nothing more. Please let us know what the dr. says.

leg ache

Hi Catherine,

What were your symptoms of the leg pain? I starting have a severe pain in my left calf on the backside. It almost feels like I strained or pulled a muscle, but I've had it for 2 days now and this post got me curious. How did they know it was a blood clot and what did they do for you?

leg ache

My pain felt like a pulled muscle, and it was in the inner thigh. I'd suggest calling the Dr. or going to the ER, because if it is a clot you need treatment immediately.

One more thing....until you can determine that it's not a clot, don't rub it. If it's a clot that might cause it to move.

Let us know what the dr. says. Hugs to you....

leg ache

Thanks Catherine,

I'm on hold right now with the drs. office. I had my surgery back in Oct., I guess I thought they I would be past the point of having to worry about blood clots. Everything else has been great and no problems whatsoever. I'll let you know what I find out.

leg ache

Aching in my hips and inner thighs began about 10 days after starting Estratest HS. I don't now if it is from the increase in estrogen or adding testosterone. I was already on the Climara patch (0.0.25). I started taking the Estratest every other day and it seemed to help. The aching only starts at night too.
