On Oprah's show today they had a 60 year old women who looks like 40 and she attibuted her skin to using Premarin cream on her face daily. She said her dermotologist in Florida told her to use it ten years ago and she has used it ever since.
Has anyone else ever heard of this?
I saw that, too --- fascinating! I can't wait to see the discussion on this. Anybody else use it on their face?
On a related note, have noticed that Astroglide makes a great moisturizer...I put it all over my legs after shaving. Super soft, and it leaves a bit of a sheen, like those expensive creams that are supposed to make you extra-glam! The idea of wearing Astroglide makes me smile all evening.
I actually tried the Premarin cream on my face ONCE several months ago. I don't know if this is just coincidence but that night I woke up having strange sensations: heart palpitations, a very weak feeling with vertigo. It was scary. I felt like something was very out of whack in my body and I couldn' do anything about it. After a couple of hours it subsided. I was also on the V dot and maybe it was just too much estrogen at one time, I don't know. I've been afraid to try again but I would really love to be able to use it as an anti-aging agent.
Your experience is just why we should always ask our doctor first before trying something new....as in applying Premarin vaginal cream to our face.
I know it may sound reasonable that since Premarin vaginal cream supports healthy vaginal tissues, it might be good for our face as well. However, Premarin vaginal cream is formulated for vaginal tissues. I personally think it's best to stick with the approved products for our faces. There are tons of facial anti-aging products available on the market that have been approved and provide good results.
