Curves Does Work

Hi Ladies:

I joined Curves the beginning of this year and I got weighed and measured on 1/19/05 and the next one on 2/18/05 and in one month, I lost 5 3/4 inches and 5 pounds. I go at least 3 times a week.

I can't believe I did this. I am not on any diet, eat the same things I have always eaten. I am wearing size 12 pants.

I never had a weight problem in my life except after having hysterectomy. I weighed about 120-125 pounds for years and I could eat anything I wanted to and not gain a pound. The only time I gained weight was when I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 16 years old and I gained 55 pounds and lost all of the weight in 1 week, by the way, my daughter weighed 9 pounds and 16 ounces when she was born.

All in all, I feel better knowing the weight can come off as long as I do exercising and stay healthy.

Now if this snow will go away I can walk around my neighborhood, which I haven't been able to do for 2 months, we have had 70 inches of snow and more snow on the way tomorrow

Thumbs up - Curves Does Work Curves Does Work

Ladies
I too have found success with Curves!!! I joined in August '04 when one opened in my hometown. I have lost 16 pounds and 16 inches in 5 months without strict dieting. I actually lost 12 pounds the first two months. It is so enjoyable and manageable. You do not need an appointment or be in top shape. Thirty seconds on a machine and you move on to the next station. I go right after work and what a stress relief. (I teach grade school) Since I am over 50, a mid-belly had set in and I was out of shape. I can tell all the difference. It is definitely worth the effort.

Curves Does Work

Hi Ladies, I have been a CURVES girl for almost 2 years and these past 6 weeks have been hard without doing my routine. I am anxious to get back to my workout, but know that I will basically have to start over. Keep up the good work. Before my sirgery with the CURVES workout and a few dietary changes, I had lost over 50lbs!

Curves Does Work

Thanks for the testimonies, ladies. I'd been thinking of calling them for some time so today I took the plunge and called after my sister told me she joined and really enjoyed it. She lives in another state so we can't go together.

I was really hesitant because I didn't want to go by myself but guess I don't have a choice. I'm supposed to meet the lady in the morning at 8:00.

Thanks again!

Curves Does Work

Thanks Ladies for the information about Curves. My doctor said that I must start some kind of exercise program and I have been thinking about Curves. I think I will just take the plunge and join. I have gained 65 pounds since my hysterectomy 6 years ago. Enough is enough....

Curves Does Work

Today was my 1 month anniversary with Curves so I was weighed and measured. I lost 3.25 inches and 1.96 lbs. of body fat, but only one pound. I had a good case of swelly belly when I went in to work out today. Could that be the reason for so little weight loss??? I have really been watching what I eat so I was a bit disappointed that I had only lost a pound. However, that said, Curves is the next best thing I've done for myself this year (hysterectomy was the first). I feel so much more energy and I know if I stick with it the positive results will continue.

Curves Does Work

Ladies,
I joined Curves last year and enjoyed it for about 3 months. Then, where I work, went into long overtime hours and I was beat and did not go workout. I've tried to get back into it but I find every excuse not to stop by on the way home. My surgery is a week away and now I know that I will not go back to Curves for what, at least 6 weeks? But I am going to give it my best shot to get back in the groove with Curves. It does work the inches off. That in itself is more important to me than the weight.

Curves Does Work

Yesterday my Curves started a 6 week challege to see who can lose the most weight and inches. I took the challenge. I am interested to see how well I can do. I certainly have more energy and am sure that's because of many factors. What is the opinion on working out more than 3 times a week during this challenge? Any ideas will be appreciated.
