clear watery discharge six weeks
I am six weeks post/op from having a cystocele and rectocle repaired. I had more bleeding than what was expected, but it finally stopped about a week and a half ago. Now, I have a very clear watery discharge. My undies don't really even get damp, it's just the watery feeling. The nurse said it is vaginal tissues weeping while healing. I don't smell urine. Has anyone else had a watery discharge at about week six or so?
Any input would be helpful
Annie

clear watery discharge six weeks
Hey, I'm 5 weeks today TAH. I woke up with the same thing this morning. But mine has a yellow tint. I got on the site to find out the same thing. I hope it's normal. I Dr's told us more. There is so much they don't tell.

clear watery discharge six weeks
I have had this clear watery discharge since about week five. It stays the same pretty much all the time. It on occasion may have a yellowish tint, but not much... I assume I still have some unhealed tissue as there has been a little pink as well on occasion. I also hope all is normal. Let us know if you discover what this is.
Thanks, Annie

clear watery discarge
I am 3 weeks post-op, and have the same watery discharge with a little pink tint to it. My doc told me this was perfectly normal, and might last up to six weeks. Just enough to use a panty liner...which beats those foot-long pads and jumbo tampons before the surgery. Your slight discharge is probably normal, especially since there is no bad ordor, or itching or burning. I am surprised that I haven't had more of a leakage since I had a TVH/BSO with skin grafts to build a "shelf" for my newly tied-up bladder to rest on. I think we are lucky!

discharge - 2 1/2 weeks
OK, I'm glad to see this post as I'm new here and haven't really seen many posts that answer my questions too. I had TVH on 2/14 and started back to work/desk job yesterday. What freaks me out is that right after surgery it was mostly blood, then went away to a pink, then to the watery or yellow/clear that you guys are talking about. But then, when it seems I might have even slightly overdone it, like yesterday, blood again. Should I be freaking out? I've put a call into the nurse and my postop appt is Friday, I'm just concerned. I promise I'm taking it easy, really staying off my feet and not lifting a thing...its really upsetting me because it's like I can't behave enough, but I still have things to do...does that make sense? UGH!
Frustrated, TJ

Asking again....
Hello everyone,
Thought I would try asking again about having a clear watery discharge after an Anterior and Posterior repair. I'm six weeks post/op and have had just a clear wet feeling in the vaginal area and labia. I don't have wet panties, but it just feels really wet. I did a pyridium tampon test and it comes out just fine without any stain. The GYN said he thought it may be the incisions weeping and really didn't see anything he would put silver nitrate on. So, guess I would like to know if anyone else has experienced a light clear watery discharge six weeks out or more?
Thanks, Annie

watery discharge
HI Annie.. I had a hysterectomy in August of 2004.. I had the same problem your having. The doctor told me the same thing yours told you. I wouldn't worry to much about it. He said if there is no blood don't worry about it. It will pass. Good look with your recovery... Delrae

Hi,
I appreciate you responding... I keep worrying that it's a fistula, but it doesn't smell like urine at all. Also, I don't even have to wear a pad. It's just a very wet feeling and even looks wet if I look with a mirror. I know, I am crazy.... LOL Do you remember how long you had the clear watery discharge?? Just curious...

clear watery discharge six weeks
Hi Annie
I am glad I read your post. I am currently 4 weeks post op from my 3rd surgery for extensive stage 4 endo. I had everything removed, a bowel resection, vaginal repair and endo exision. Since my surgery I haven't been able to void on my own and have been self catherizing. My bladder function is still not there yet.
For the last week and a half I've been noticeing that my vagina seems wet all the time too. It is a clear and odorless and at times has a yellowish tint to it. I have also been wondering if I've developed a fistula as well.
I have a follow up appointment with my surgeon on Apr. 5th and will mention it to him if I am still bothered by it.
Has your discharge disappeared yet? Have you seen your doctor about it. If so, what did he say?
I am really hoping that this isn't a fistula and just a normal healing process. I had endo in my vagina so the surgeon had to cut out a V shaped portion at the top of my vagina and resuture it together. I am hoping my wetness is from this healing.
Let me know how you are doing.
Karen

clear discharge
Karen,
Just happened to see that you answered my post. I'm not sure as I am not getting emails to notify me that someone has answered them. No, the clear watery discharge is still there. Same as it was, and no better. I have had a cystogram, IVP, Cystocopy, and also done a pyridium tampon test to see if it is urine. So far, all the tests are negative for urine. I have seen several GYN's and they can't see if there is unhealed tissue causing this.. I have an appointment with the original surgeon this afternoon because I am really tired of that feeling of being vaginally wet all of the time. It's very watery, clear, odorless... I don't really get any on my panties, it's just that the vaginal walls are "water wet" all of the time. It's very uncomfortable. I was "cleared" for intercourse and did bleed, so I am wondering if there isn't something they are missing like granulation. So, off I go to have them poke and look again this afternoon. I had a TAH/BSO a year ago and didn't have a problem. This was after a cystocele and rectocele repair. The vaginal cuff is staying very watery wet. So, If I find out anything I will post again after my doc appointment. Hang in there, hopefully we will both get some answers. Annie
