Each time I visit this forum, and read your stories, you touch my heart. I am amazed and inspire by your courageous stories. I thought I would share a little love to you from my heart.

To let you know you are loved in so many ways
I admire your courage, strength and endurance,
You have a special bond like no other
It helps get you through the tears and pain,
That bond is shown by each of you,
Through encouragement, friendship and support,
There is one main ingredient that pulls this bond together
That is the love that is share and can not be measured!

On Sunday a friend of mine died from a 3 year battle with ovarian cancer. She died on the day she was born which was also her 49th birthday. Yesterday was the wake and today was her funeral.

Although I did not know Donna very very well, we did talk on the phone numerous times and met for dinner. We live in the same area and were a good support group for each other.

She became ill around Thanksgiving and was not supposed to make it past Christmas. Being the strong woman that she was, she was going to fight until the end. Over a month ago she was given last rites but still hung in there. Finally her body just became too tired to fight anymore.

This poem hit home with a special meaning for me. Thank you.

Rosalie, I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's passing. She sounds like a brave warrior, and I"m sorry for your loss; a loss for us all battling OvCA.

Thank you so much for your post! I am really having a few bad weeks lately, trying to heal from surgery from recurrance, getting tests and waiting for results. Your beautiful post and prayers were so comforting to me. Thanks again!
