10 days to go till surgery

Hello Everyone!! Well, I now have only 10 days to go till I get my surgery done. I am sooo nervous, yet excited at the same time. Everyone I have talked to that either knows someone that had a hyst. or did have one themselves say how it has been soo much better since the surgery. I just keep prayen that the same is for me. I am soo ready to have more energy and feel good again, and so is my husband. I have been reading the threads as I am able and I am prayen for all of you that are having surgery soon, and for all of you who have just came back from surgery. God Bless Everyone!!!!

I was reading the message board when I came across "10 days to go till surgery." I thought to myself that wasn't too much longer to wait, and then I started counting and realized that you and I have the same surgery date. That means I only have 10 more days to get what seems like a million things done! I think panic has set in - I'm not too nervous about the surgery (thanks to my supportive hystersisters and wonderful doctor). I'm just hoping I can get alot of loose ends tied up before Feb. 7th so I can rest comfortably. I will definitely say a special prayer for you and the rest of the women scheduled for our day. Hang in there!

I too felt nervous and excited. I cleaned the house like a nutty woman, caught up on all the laundry, talked everything over with my kids(even did a "day of surgery/where you gonna be drill"),and still was nervous! I thought I may offer a few suggestions that I felt helpful to me.1) CLEAN YOUR RECOVERY ROOM! I saw a thread on this and it made sense. Believe me, the rest of the house will get dirty and messy while you are recouperating. Thats okay for a while, but my bedroom wasn't as nice as I wanted and it drove me nuts. 2)Get some walkie talkies for the hubby and kids and yourself. My family forgot about me sometimes. I guess they thought I was napping! 3)Ask you friends for some movies to watch(we tape them and have loads to share)..many times, nothing "good" was on. 4) Have a phone in your room. Talking to friends was wonderful for me (You can always turn the ringer off )Good Luck to you! Enjoy the naps, they are great!!Cindi
