Panic Attacks

Yes! I believe they are related. I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op from a total hysterectomy and have been experiencing anxiety the past week. Never before have I had this, so it surely must have something to do with the hormones.

Panic Attacks

Hi Karen!

I'm sorry you had those scary symptoms. You're right that they defintely can be related to your hormones! It's important to change your patch on time so you can keep a more consistent level of estrogen in your system.

As to the Estrin D, there have been a few threads about it on the message board on this site called Hysteritaville - Wellness Post Hysterectomy. You can click this link to read the previous discussions.

As with any supplement, you should discuss it with your doctor before deciding if it's something you should try. You might be interested to know that often weight gain in the mid section is due to a lack of estrogen. Are you having any other symptoms of hormone imbalance? You might want to look over the list of symptoms of too much/too little estrogen, progesterone and testosterone and see if any symptoms sound like ones you are having. It's also useful to keep a journal of the symptoms you are having to share with your doctor. It can help him/her decide if a change in dose might help you feel better.

I hope this helps!
