2 week checkup

Hi Sisters, I had a LAVH on Feb25th. I have never felt better. No pain at all. Have to remind myself I had major surgery and not to do stuff. I don't have any older family females to talk to about this so I don't know what to ask the Dr. when I see him next Friday. I don't have anything left, overies, cervix all gone. The reason I'm asking is I do feel so good that he's going to say do you have any questions and I'm going to say No. Then I'm going to come on here a week later and some other sister will be asking this question and I will be saying I should have asked that. So if any one can give me some advice I would really appreciate it. I hope everyone is doing fine. Star942

2 week checkup

I have to agree with you! I have never felt better . The only thing that I am having is my thighs have been hurting, took a muscle relaxer and it knocked me out! I am not taking anymore of them!

2 week checkup

You can ask what your pathology report showed. Discuss HRT or No HRT (maybe you've done that already). Also ask what your restrictions are at this point in your recovery. I always make a list of my questions.

It's really nice to hear you are doing so well. Remember to rest and pamper the princess. You are still early in your recovery.

Best wishes & s,
Beth

2 weeks postop

I feel the same way. I will be 2 weeks post-op in 2 days, and feel like nothing ever happened. The biggest problem was my (normal) migraines flairing up the first three days; otherwise, the hysterectomy has shown nothing more than some very slight discharge daily. I'm assuming this is normal. I don't go to my dr. until 4 weeks post-op. I had help the first week (Mom) and this week (DH), so I am trying to do as little as possible, but I am a busy stay-at-home volunteer Mom who has a hard time staying still. DH is mostly my chaffeur this week; I was told I can drive next week. I don't really care one way or the other about that; getting groceries and getting the kids here and there will be my biggest concern once DH is back at work (his hours are outrageous!!!!!!). But we'll manage. I have great friends from my son's friends at school. I too have to remind myself to take it easy! Glad to hear you're feeling good! Take it easy!
