BLADDER INFECTIONS!!!! :(

Hello ladies
Boy i'm full of questions this week!I have the flu and a bladder infection!I was told by a friend of mine that woman who have hysterectomies will be more likely to get them.Is this true? And if so ,why? I have been in so much pain over this.
Oh and I was told by my dr,that estratest h.s. is not premerin, and a hystersister says it is.I am in over my head i'm afraid! If I do find out this is true,my dr. will not live it down!!He knows that premerin gave me bad headaches.

Gosh I really haven't had a chance to really feel that great since my surg.I am hoping it is coming soon!!!
Thanks for all the support on this site.

bladder issue

Hello Kathyjune,
Just thought I'd share with you what I was told regarding the bladder that infections are possible after because of the catheter inserted into the bladder during surgery. I also had some bladder work done, but I think that others may have this issue too that don't. They pushed tons of water and cranberry juice and also told me to stay away from citrus juices. Waters the biggie and my trips to the bathroom are frequent, however I've managed to stay away from the infections so far even though I had to self cath for a couple days(hate to be a doomsdayer to future gals, but personally I had horrible experiences with this procedure).

Well, I hope things heal up fast for you and I don't have info regarding the other issues.

Take Care and hugs and prayers are coming your way.
