Weak Finger Nails

I have noticed my finger nails have stared to rip/tear. Is this a sign of a need of something from my body? Like what?

Surgery July 19 "05 one orvary left that seems to be lonesome. Take OTC herbs

Weak Finger Nails

I had a problem with weak nails, and once I started taking calcium and magnesium they got hard and grew faster.

I take about 1300mg. a day and 400 magnesium.

Sometimes hormone changes in the body and aging may do this as well.

If you want something to help with your nails you may want to try MSM. It's generally available at the health food store.

Not only helps with nails, but also, hair and your skin.

Takes about 6 weeks.

I was on megace and had mild hair loss. Took msm for pain and thought my hair seemed thicker not as stringy. When my hair dresser was cutting it she commented that my hair was thicker and appeared healthier. I've always been able to tear my toe nails, though my fingernails have never been a problem. Now they are as stong as my fingernails.
I take 1200 mg calcium suppliment and did not see adifference in my nails until msm. It could be because my problem was drug induced not a lack of a mineral.

Hope this helps,
