3 hour countdown

Well, Sisters - three hours from now I'll be sitting in admitting with my husband. I've experienced several emotions in the past two weeks since finding out about this but for the past several days (today included) I feel incredibly at peace about surgery. I'm SO EXCITED to feel good again.
Last night in bed my husband asked if I was nervous and I told him no. He said, "I really don't think you are either". We shopped for my appropriate hospital pajamas yesterday and he recommended I not get long sleeves, "you might get hot and it will make you crabby and you know we wanna keep you happy". He's being such a great support- and believe me, I didn't know if he'd be up to the challenge.
I'm sure it is hard for family members to really understand what we go through. Kudos to them for putting up with our mood changes, our complaining about the pain, our feeling so yucky we want to go no where. I've been so wrapped up in me that I haven't realized all they've put up with.
I'm truly blessed.
Thinking of all of my sisters who are having surgery today as well and wishing them the best.

It sounds like you are at peace with the surgery. Keep a positive outlook during your recovery and listen to your body & you should do fine. Keep us posted when you get home!

I'm not sure if you will see this before you leave but if you do know that you have prayers being sent your way this morining. I have been told that a hyster. is in my future but am still playing the waiting game and getting second and third opinions.
