Surprise Gas

Ok Ladies help a sister out here. I had my TAH 2.5 years ago and its the BEST Thing i ever did. With family history of Ovarian Cancer, a number of fibroids in my past, obsenly long periods...oh yea and that cyst on my right ovary the size of a soft ball it was a good thing. I would do it again in a heart beat. I healed up, moved on, and donated boxes of pads and tampons (bought in bulk, of course) to a woman's shelter. BUT i have a little issue, its been 2.5 years and i'm still having "surprise gas". I NEVER had little sqeekers follow me around the house before my TAH. Now I can be bending over and HELLO! where did that come from? I've done the Kegels and i exercise regularly. Anyone else having this issue. Its SOOO embarassing (one last week in front of prude future sister-in-law)!!!! I know that not being able to toot is an issue just after leaving the castle but LORD help me i now need to STOP!

Thank you edraann you made me laugh so hard it hurt, but felt good. I am not any where near as far out as you are but wondered the same question. As far as the squeekers my reply when this happens is "Now I'm self propelled" My DH has threatened to have it all parts put back if it would control my cover fluffing and regular BMs I was always irregular in that department but not anymore. I have a very healthy digestive system now. Almost scary healthy. I know

Surprise Gas

Hi
I don't know if this will help you but I had the same problem with gas. It was kinda like urnary strees incontinence (which i had also) just coming from the other end. I had a vag. hyst with bladder repair and other repairs. At the same time I had a rectal overlapping sphincter repair for the gas on 2 - 15 -05. So far so good. no leaking from either end LOL. I guess what I am saying is maybe your gas problem is caused from that. I went to a colon rectal surgeon, he found that I had a very thin sphincter muscle.

Thank you for making me smile!

I too dont fart in front of DH, so I know how you feel.
The only time I ever farted in front of my husband is after child birth and my TAH.........

Laughter is the best medicine they say........ next time yell "I''ll name that tune in one!"

Blame it on the dog - or the sister in law!

Some one visiting us once farted real loud and blamed it on our 8lb cat! Hahahaha

Pelvic floor excerices help. You can then hold it in till your own your own.

Good luck.

Hugs (gentle) - don't wanna squeeze you too much! x

I can only imagine the noise that made as it reverberated over the mattress.
