chemo...it's all coming back to me now!
I'm amazed at what I forgot/blocked out in the last 2 years since I had chemo!
It went off without any snags today. And a bonus...a gyn-onc support group that meets every Monday at 11 am. That was so cool. There's another woman with Fallopian Tube Ca along with Ovarian Ca (two separate primaries.)
So now I'm laying in bed being the chemo princess. I had my comfort food dinner, put on my new jammies, and am laying on the new memory foam topper that I put on my mattress! Glad to know there's some kind of memory in this bed because I sure don't have one!
I forgot...
... that the bone pain starts right away
...the weird feeling in my stomach
...all the extra medicines and supplements
I didn't forget...
...the constipation
...the tingling when your hair is going to fall out
...feeling like I had a fever on a warm day because I didn't have any arm hair to help cool me!
...the perfect spot to draw my blood. Good thing I have a freckle there.
Well, off to rest and watch a movie...

Now let's hope you have more mild side effects this time than last--and with each chemo those cells are heading for the hills and you'll soon be in remission again!

Linda,
Hang in there and remember it's all for making you well again. It is nice that you got yourself all the new things to comfort you. Be strong and I will pray for you to have an easy time with this.

Oh Linda,
I had the same kind of feelings when I started my chemo for the second time also. Boy oh boy can I relate. But think of it this way, hopefully we will be cancer free again and these feelings will once again, be faded memories.
Hang in there. There is an end!!

Oh, Linda. I'm so, so sorry you're having to go through all of that again. I remember a great many things (though I try not to keep them top of mind), and none of them are pleasant. I hope you know that we're all sending you big s and wishes for a quick and relatively painless chemo. And, of course, for quick hair regrowth. :-)
Thinking about you.

You are an amazing woman!!!
Do you realize how your untarnished sense of humor is shining right out of that post? Even the title!!
I'm glad you found the support group.
Make the most of these princess days because soon you will be back in NEDs arms. Or as Ellen says, NERD's arms.

Continue to pamper yourself, you deserve it! I'm sorry you are having to go thru all of this again, but think of the chemo as your alia or friend. I tried to visualize that during my chemo regimen.
I hope your side effects are minimal to non-exsistent. Please continue to let us know how you are doing. We are here to listen 24/7.
