Girls buy "squish" pillows

Hey ladies in waiting. I am 6 weeks postop TAH. If I had to give one piece of advice it would be to buy a couple of the beanbag "squish" pillows before surgery. They are lifesavers!!! Take them to the hospital with you. You can use them for the postop back pain. They will support the tummy, help with coughing and getting up and help support the tummy when sleeping on your side. They conform to any position you want. Put one between your legs when sleeping. They help in those early days in the car. Mine are my new "security" blankets. My prayers are with you guys. Hang on and remember each will feel better and better. It goes quickly and it's worth the long term healing. Take care, Lynn

They were the christmas rage so they are every where. I got mine at Walgreens. Have seen them at CVS, BiLo, Bed Bath and Beyond, Linens and Things. Don't get the ones at Target they don't have any beans and are limp. They have like shiny spandex material as a covering and are in bright colors. Hope you don't have to run all around. Good Luck I will pray for you tomorrow.

Sounds like you have more than one... how many do you recommend getting?

I've seen more than one post raving about the squishy pillow! I'll put one on my shopping list right after new slippers and new PJ's!

The squishy pilllow is a must have. I could not have made it without mine. They confirm to your body so well. I will continue to use mine for my back after my belly gets better. I only bought one but wish I had gotten two.

A great investment.
