Endo/adhensions - after Hyst

Gillian,

I am sorry that I can't answer your question for sure. But I have been fighting some pains that sort of feel like a rubber band pulled way too tight, my urologist things it could possibly be adhesions on the bladder. But I am also experiencing other bladder problems that we are addressing first to see if that takes care of the pain too.

So I am not positively sure of what exactly the symptoms are. I wanted to move your post back to the top so that others wouldn't miss it, and I am sure that others will be by to answer you shortly.

Wishing you the very best.

Hi Gillian

Just have a little info. for you. I am having trouble again as you can see from my recent post to the board.

I have adhesions that have pulled the intestines and also 2 cysts on the left ovary. My symptoms are bowel problems - most often this means the "runs" whether or not I eat, constant crampy feeling in the lower abdomen/pelvic region (I do mean constant-going from bad to horrible) and a lot of pulling/stretchy sensations like I have swallowed rubber bands. My left side (cysts) are more of a stabbing pain when I move the wrong way, but the right side (adhesions) are the pulling, crampy, burning sensations.

I hope I have described this okay for you. It is a difficult pain to describe to someone else, but you probably know exactly what I mean. I hope you aren't having a lot of problems. Mine seems to be adhesions/cysts that won't go away rather than the ENDO right now. I guess they will know about the ENDO after the upcoming surgery.

Take care and ((hugs)) Lisa

adhensions

I just got home from my doctor's office because of that pulling, crampy, burning sensation in my right side and a yellowish discharge that has been ongoing since surgery. He said I have a spot in my vagina that isn't healed yet and used silver nitrate on it. He also gave me a script for a UTI.

When I questioned the pain he did some pushing and proding but never gave me a real answer. Reading this thread and some others I wonder if it isn't due to adhesions. I don't know alot about this stuff so I was hoping that someone can tell me how they're detected and what's done for them? Thanks!

Endo/adhensions - after Hyst

My pain was (and still is just not as bad but I still could be healing) like a pinchy, burning, stabbing feeling behind the right end of my incision....the gyn said she removed two "bands" of adhesions that ran from my pelvic side wall to my bowel....I don't know if she did any pathology on it to see if it contained any endo and I was too out of it in the hospital to ask so I will know more tomorrow when I go for follow up.....anyway that's what mine felt like, hope it helps
