Would like to know if anyone out there is using Tri-est or Biest HRT from a compounding pharmacy?

HI littlevixen

I use bi-est cream that is made up from a compounding pharmacy. I have had great results with this so far although in the very beginning I did have to have my dose adjusted several times to find the right dose.

Are you considering going this route for your estrogen replacement?

I used tri-est for about 4 years, currently use and have used bi-est about a year and a half. It did take some tweaking to find balance, but I have had great results with the compounded hormones.

I was using a Tri-Est compounded cream and then my estrone levels got too high.. so now they are switching me to a bi-est compounded cream... I kept my ovaries after my TVH, but my hormonal levels were very LOW, so that is why I am using the bi-identical hormones.

I think they are better for you than the synthetic hormones....

lots of luck

after surgery dr. put me on 1.25 premarin and all was fine. i just liked the idea of being on bi-identical hrt. so i switched to bi-est cream 5mg. and i'm not as pleased. i don't sleep as well and i get mild hot flashes. i don't want to go any higher than 5 mg. and i'm going to stick with this for now cause i just feel safer.
occasionally i use progesterone cream. dosen't seem to make a difference, but i keep trying!!
hang in there. kathy

I use Bi-Est in a pill form. I was using Tri Est, but gained weight, so they changed it to Bi Est. It took some tweaking, but now I feel alot better! For me, I need to take half my dose in the AM and half in the PM. I am very happy with the bio identicals!

do blood tests check E1, E2 & E3 levels?

HI
I was wondering if when you do your blood work to determine levels if they actually check E1, E2, E3? Is that how they determine if you should be on just estrodoil or biest or triest?

I am VERY interested in finding out as much as possible since it seems that when you are "balanced" the weight gain issue on other types of HRT seems to lessen, yes??

thanks
Carol
