estrogen question

i'm new here (posting for my mom since she doesn't know how to use a computer) sorry if i'm posting in the wrong forum~

anyway, she just had a hysterectomy this past December. she was wondering if she needed estrogen. her doctor told her that if she feels like she needs it then she can get estrogen pills or something of that sort, but how is she to know if she needs it? she's concerned about bone loss, etc.

she is doing fine but has noticed a frequent amount of bowel movements, and i have noticed that her memory is a little skittish. (not to long ago she couldn't remember my boyfriend of six year's last name)

i was just wondering if there are any vitamins or things like that, that may help her out a bit. i figured this would be a good place to ask. my main question though was about the estrogen.
