MY BLADDER GIVES ME MORE TROUBLE THEN MY KIDS! HA I CAN NOT COMPLETELY EMPTY IT AND THE PAIN AND
FULLNESS IS TERRIBLE. I HAD TO BE STRAIGHT CATH AT DR'S, NOW THEY SAY SEE A UROLOGIST. ANYONE ELSE WITH THESE ISSUES/SPASMS ETC?

Hi NEVRPLZD,

I'm sorry you are having bladder problems. I wish I had some experience to share with you, but I don't. I'm sure the urologist will be able to give you answers and hopefully, you will be feeling better soon!

You might want to take a look at Post-Op Articles which you can find here. There are some articles about bladder spasms and infections.

I hope you are feeling better soon!

Bladder Issues--ugh

I am 5 weeks post op (TAH and Burch) and have had ongoing problems with my bladder. I had to self cath for about 1 1/2 weeks, until I could show my dr that I was emptying. Now, I still have to really concentrate in order to empty. Gets easier each day but has been a bit of an unexpected ordeal (I wish I would have seen this site before my op).

Good luck

Bladder Issues--ugh

This is a very common complaint amongst us Hystersisters, I have seen several posts about the same issue and I myself suffer from the same problem, I also suffered from this problem after my Laprascopic surgery last June the pain lasted 4 months then all of a sudden went away (but came during menses). Even though it is very common it is still best to see your urologist about the problem they do have medications to help like bladder soothers etc. But also to warn you this could last a long time and that you are not alone! (((HUGS))) go see that Urologist and I hope you feel better!
