stomach pain

I am 7 weeks post op. I started to do things around the house at about 3 weeks, one which was cutting firewood. Big mistake. I still can not wear pants or underwear with out hurting. I can not touch my stomach, wear clothes or hug my children close without pain. And a swolled belly.I went to the doctor for a check up and she said that I am still really tender and that when I was cutting wood I propably ripped a few stiches and has some bleading internal and have to let it heal. I have to go back in 4 weeks for another check up. My husband is afraid that I gave myself a hernia. Is this common? Thanks

stomach pain

Everyone PLEASE read these posts about doing too much! I kept tearing the scar tissue that was trying to form. I am finally feeling ALMOST back to normal. My BIG MESSAGE is take care of yourself VERY well for the first 4 months...YES....MONTHS!!!! Or you will have swelly belly and discomfort longer than you need to. 6-8 weeks to recover from the trauma of surgery but 6-12 months TO HEAL.
