Cool - Soggy Tuesday, 22 March, 2004 Soggy Tuesday, 22 March, 2004

Hi!

Today is my eldest DDs birthday, it's hard to believe that she's 10 today, yikes!!!
We're off out to dinner tonight, and then the cinema, with 3 of her friends, she'll enjoy!!

Having a couple of slices of fruitloaf for breakfast, lunch will be a sandwich, dinner is dining out.
Any snacks are fruit, and I have a bottle of summer fruits squash (cordial) to drink, as I am full of cold, so I'm drinking loads.

Melissa and Ann, you look fabulous, both of you! Well done girls!

Right, we need to readjust our plateau arrangements girls! I need to be in the 140s, Sue needs to be in the 160s, and Melissa, Emily and Margo need to be in the 170s, so...... everybody swap! (I wish it was that easy)

I don't think this rain is going to give up, here in After a fabulously sunny weekend, it's a big letdown.

The day off situation has sorted itself out, we're back to where we originally started, so no need to swap! I wish these schools would get themselves sorted out!

Off to start my day, my exercise bike awaits!

Happy Birthday to your DD, Fran! She is exactly 100 years younger than my DGM, who passed away 6 1/2 years ago at 103 1/2. May your DD have as full and long a life as my DGM did!

We did have to send my old Cory girl to the Rainbow Bridge last evening. She waited for me to return and she raised her head in greeting, and let me know that she was kind of ready. It was very sad and we sobbed and had a bit of a wake and celebrated her life and the fun and funny things about it, and we ate lots of bad stuff that I will not mention. You can see a photo of her in My Photos. She's the brown dog. Now there are only 2 dogs but we did get the new :kitty: in December, so our family stays full. And BTW it was not I who got the puppy - wasn't it Sharon? I need to go back and check now!! Cory was a teensy puppy when we got her oh so long ago.

Today's food should include yogurt and strawberries and cottage cheese, a chicken sandwich with lots of lettuce, and SF oatmeal with raisins and peanuts and cottage cheese. I just have to figure out the proper schedule for those things. I'm putting off breakfast for now, and will eat around 8 AM.

This afternoon should include a visit to the step class, too. I'm still enthusiastic about that.

Have a wonderful day, friends, and thanks for your support.

Good Morning all my BEST friends!
Desk I'm so sorry to hear about Cory. But she'll now romp and play over the Rainbow Bridge, and you'll see her again. She'll be waiting on you.
Fran..Enjoy the birthday party. It's hard to believe how fast they do grow up. (My baby is 23 now).
It's a sunny blue sky morning here, with the temperatures promising to head into the 40's. I think everyone in this area will be in shock if we get that high.
My skunk smell is so much better today. The dog is kissable again, and I can't smell it in the house unless I leave and come back. Then it's there, but only faintly. I think a day or two more of spraying and candles will get it taken care of.
And my cable is finally fixed. The guy came to my door yesterday afternoon. (I had seen his truck so I was watching my channels). He said we should be good now, that he had found a problem in a line in the next block that was affecting several of us. (It's no wonder my cable bill is so high, I'm paying for all these guys to work and not fix anything. (Two on Thursday, one on Friday, Two on Saturday, I saw one in the neighbors on Sunday which is where the problem area was, and then they were in the area most of the day on Monday). That's at least 7 guys hunting for the same problem. :hair:
Food will be good today. I'm sort of stuck right now, but I think I need to up my portions a bit according to lesson 7 yesterday at Curves. So I'll continue to eat smart, just add a bit more to my plate. Curves says eating raises metabolism and if I'm on a plateau, I need to up the food a bit. Wow, that's hard to make yourself do.
I'll walk in the nice weather and I might go to Curves if I can get moving in time this morning. Tuesday and Thursday are just my bonus days at Curves, so I'll have to see how my morning goes.
I'll check back in later.
Melissa...the pictures are great! Thanks for sharing them.
Have a BEST OP day everyone!

Happy, happy b'day to Fran's daughter! Our girls are 28, 15 and 11. Our first grandbaby will be coming on March 31st! :

I came back to BEST yesterday - posted very late. Asking for !

Weighed in at 212 (at not quite 5'3"). I've been higher and lower in my life, but I am now 29 lbs. heavier than I was five years ago. Would eventually like to be at 135.

I've had so much sugar and fat lately that I feel bloated and just plain grossed out! So here I am, starting again.

Good morning...

Sun & spotted first red wing blackbird today

s to Desk

magic wand swoop to Marden's posion ivy (I've never worried about getting that in the winter!)

Hi Sue55!!!

Sue - congrats on weight loss!

Nancy - the doggie owner's fear...skunks, porcupine, rabid racoons & traffic. BTW, how many miles/consecutive days do you calculate that you've walked now??

Well, I did get to the gym yesterday & started adding work on the cybex machines again...with no complaints from the incision, just my muscles! Plan to return again today. <ouch, ouch, moan, groan>

Can't seem to get a handle on the munchies....

Looking forward to seeing Melissa again, but having serious qualms that I might not recognize her!!! lol!

Good Mid Morning Ladies!
The sun is out and it is beautiful here. Gertie and I walked first thing this morning. I slept in so we didn't walk until 9:00, DH was home and closed the door when he got up so I could sleep. This itching has kept me up alot at night and last night I slept pretty good, was only up once to rub more stuff into the ivy.
Happy Birthday to your DD Fran!! My DS's were sooo happy when they got to double digits. It all goes by too fast.
Desk, s so sorry to hear about your dear Cory.
Nancy, yeah for you to finally get your cable fixed, when you pay so much for something you sure expect to work all the time. I hope they credit your bill for time lost.
Sue55, so glad you joined us, you will feel so much better when you cut out that nasty old sugar demon. He always makes us feel so blah after the sugar high is gone. You can do this girl and we are here to encourage you!!! Congratulations on your first grandbaby, do you know yet if the baby is boy or girl?
Melissa, have a wonderful time skiing in Vermont!!! Sounds like a wonderful time.
Emily, your DH's BD dinner sounds yummy!! Happy Birthday to Emily's DH
Bliss, I hope you have a wonderful visit with Melissa. Just turn your back on those munchies, it is OK to be rude to them because they are not your friend.
Well, I am off to get my Easter Candy made and to enjoy this wonderful day. I think Gertie and I will get in a couple of walks today.
Well, wouldn't you know I started this about 11:00 and it is now 12:30 and I lost my connection and can't get it back. 2:02 and I am finally connected. Hello to everyone out there.

Hey gals.

Glad to read everyone's day today! Sunny here in BC again!!! Beautiful unusual weather for us! Off to take DS to get his teeth cleaned and checked and to take DD to the doctor as I think she broke her baby toe yesterday!! Running around at a friends house, she stubbed it hard on a coffee table leg. OUCH! It is black and blue and swollen. JUST IN TIME BEFORE WE GO AWAY ON VACATION! Man timing is bad sometimes!

Plan to be OP today...

B-eggbeaters and coffee
L- veggie sandwich
S- yogurt
D-TBA

Fran - Happy B'day to your DD! My kids turn 14 and 12 this year! Getting old!!

Desk - so sorry about your dog. I love my dog dearly and dread "the" day. I hope your family is coping well.

Nanc - glad to hear the cable guy got things right!

Sue55 - welcome back and we're here to help!

Melissa - have a great time away!

Emily - enjoy your DH's birthday! Have a glass of wine for me!

Bliss - munchies are ALWAYS a temptation for me! Try carrot sticks!

Anyway, have a BEST day sisters!

Hugs,
Sarah
