my time is fast approaching

This will be the last thursday in the world that I will have a uterus. I am the first surgery of the day and week on Monday, February 12. I feel much more relaxed about my decision, but am still a bit nervous. I think I am slated for a LSH. But I am having problems with my right ovary, so that might go too. I plan on keeping my cervix. I will see how it feels to be crowned very soon. I am actually excited about the whole thing. I have one more day of work to go (Friday) before I am on my pampered princess holiday. I received my Hyster Sister night shirt last week and was thrilled to get it. So, any last minute tips for me? I want to be sure that I don't miss anything. I need to pack and I am getting frantic about it.

First of all, good luck for next week. The worse part of the whole deal for me was the waiting part, so at least youre nearly at the end of that.

I had TAH/BSO and was pretty worried about it. Thankfully all went well and I was home in next to no time.

I found that getting mobile ASAP was a real help, and i got into my usual clothes the day after the op as I cant bear being in PJ's during the day, makes me feel worse!

Take some good books into hospital and perhaps a portable CD player if you enjoy listening to music as the hours can drag a bit! I read war and peace whilst in hospital (and I only spent 4 days in total!)
